Can you believe 2016 is just around the corner?! How did that happen?
I’m not really into New Year’s Eve celebrations. Frankly, midnight is way past my bedtime, and I would rather be at home wearing warm pajamas and fuzzy socks than tight clothing and heels. (I know…I sound like I’m going on 65)
Though my attire might not be up to NYE par, I do plan on ringing in the new year with a fancy cocktail served in a snazzy glass. Since the weather has (finally) gotten cold, I have been so into the warmth that this apple and honey old fashioned provides. It’s totally NYE worthy.
This drink is like the perfect adult sore-throat remedy. It goes down smooth while warming your throat. Seriously, forget the cough drops and go straight to this when your winter cold hits.
While I love the simplicity of an old fashioned in general, this one is even simpler than most. No muddling. No water or soda. Just apple brandy, honey, and bitters. Cherry somewhat optional.
Enjoy your last little bit of 2015, friends!
